David Klein has been a lover of the performing and visual arts from a very young age. Born and raised in Florida, he began piano lessons and dance classes at the age of five. His interest in theatre grew at the age of thirteen when he attended Broward Arts Camp, a performing arts camp in Weston, Florida. This was David's first time being involved in musical theatre and his passion for it has continued to grow since.
David Klein grew up in Davie, FL and attended Cypress Bay High School where he was an active member in the school's Marching Band and Wind Ensemble as well as the American Musical Theatre class. David was a skilled flautist and was honored to be accepted into the Wind Ensemble, the highest ranking concert band, for all four years of high school. His skills in marching band qualified him to be Drum Major his senior year of high school. David was in the Musical Theatre class for five semesters in main stage productions, cabarets, and district and state thespian competitions.
David studied at Broward College and received his Associate in Arts degree. While at Broward College David took numerous theatre courses and was involved in a number of main stage productions, as an actor, assistant stage manager, and a student dramaturg. While attending Broward College in south Florida, David was in Slow Burn Theatre's production of Parade as Young Soldier/Frankie Epps, one of his favorite roles and shows to date.
